Terms of Service
This page is maintained by LOULOU HOUSE. It is plain-language information about how we run events and handle your data — not a substitute for legal advice.
These terms govern bookings, payments, and services provided by LOULOU HOUSE (“we,” “us,” “our”) to the party host (“you”). By submitting a booking request or making a payment, you agree to these terms.
1. Booking & payment schedule
The birthday planner produces an estimate, not an accepted booking. Submitting the planner form sends us an inquiry; it does not reserve a date, lock in pricing, or create a contract. No payment is required to submit an inquiry. Availability and final pricing are confirmed by our team after we review the details you shared.
If you decide to move forward, dates are held only after we receive your date-save payment. The current customer-facing payment structure is: (1) a $100 date-save payment to hold the date, (2) 50% of the remaining balance once event details are agreed, and (3) the final remaining balance approximately 7 days before the celebration. The date-save payment is applied to your final balance. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
2. Cancellations & rescheduling
Specific cancellation, refund, and rescheduling rules are confirmed in writing when we accept your booking and are pending final owner/legal review. Until that review is complete, please treat any figures shared in prior versions of this page as informational only, and reach out through our contact form before making changes.
3. Guest count & add-ons
Planner totals — including guest count, food, décor, entertainment, cake, and add-ons — are estimates based on what you selected. The final invoice is prepared after we confirm availability and details with you. Additional guests or services added closer to the event are subject to availability.
4. Conduct & damages
Adults are responsible for the supervision of their children at all times. You agree to cover the cost of repair or replacement of any property damaged beyond normal use during your event.
5. Photography
We occasionally photograph our space and events for marketing. Let us know in writing before your event if you prefer not to be photographed.
6. Liability
Participation in activities is at your own risk. Please review and sign our Liability Waiver before your event.
7. Communication consent
By submitting an inquiry or booking, you agree that LOULOU HOUSE may contact you by email, phone, and — where you initiate the conversation — WhatsApp regarding your inquiry, booking, event details, and follow-ups. WhatsApp conversations are initiated by you from links on our website; standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply.
You may opt out of non-essential marketing messages at any time by using the unsubscribe link in a marketing email or by contacting us. Opting out does not stop transactional messages necessary to run your event (for example, booking confirmations, payment reminders, or day-of logistics).
7-A. Eligibility & U.S. users
The Service is operated from the United States and is intended for adults (at least 18 years of age) planning an event on behalf of a child in their care. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit and for supervising your child at the venue.
8. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect on the date of your booking applies to your event.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or your event shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
